A small curios shop in downtown Boulder, Crystal Dragon has been reaching customers with word of mouth alone for many years. When I asked them what how they wanted the public to know them, they told me that they wanted to convey a quaint sense of what they remember Boulder as over the decades of their tenancy. They described the Boulder they knew as thriving in hippy culture, advocating love, and experiencing the mystical. The brand itself was birthed after the owner returned from a pilgrimage to Thailand where he purchased their iconic logo, since founding the longest-standing and most-popular one-of-a-kind store in Boulder.
